No, I haven't vanished due to NaNoWriMo. I've simply been swamped with work-related and personal projects. Many of the personal projects are ones that have been sitting around for quite some time. I am actually cutting back on most of my writing so that I can get these off of my plate. I order to let you know that I am still alive and kicking I thought I'd treat you to more pictures from Japan. These are, as always, taken by my father-in-law, Tetsuya Tanaka. I hope you enjoy these pictures of different Japanese buildings.
I like the way the sun shining on the red and yellow leaves give the impression that the house is one fire in this last one.

I looked to the north, about 200 miles north, and I thought I saw a glimpse of the guy. But I wasn't sure. It could have been, but likely not. So I wandered further, further to the north, the South in the north, and I yelled out, "Mike? MIKE!", but no answer. He was in the mist of work, children, and Nano, but he existed still. Daily I checked for a trace of him, a sign, but all I got were the same Japanese buildings, over, and over, and over again. My hunger for new would not be abated, and I starved for yet another night....I lost my favorite fish today, maybe it's rubbing off on my writings. I wish you well, hope to see you when I get to town! -A
The search continues. I first looked in the middle of the Falls city, looking for a sign. I thought of one of my earliest memories of him, that tire fort and the deep conversations on life, the meaning of it all, conversations that were as profound then as they would be now, for the feeling that was behind these thoughts. I wait, updating my own blog, but with mindless blather, with nothing of substance. I wait, on Christmas morning, for an update, but my waiting was for naught. For none would ever come. I will look mournfully to the Japanese Buildings and vending machines once again. And tease my good friend in the mean time. I hope Christmas treated you well, I'll be up on 1/4, hope to see you! -Aaron
